The Guinea Grill

I had dinner in this fabulous looking pub near Berkely Square last night. The atmosphere is fantastically cosy and the staff very friendly and attentive. The food they serve is of very high quality. I had a delicious fillet de boeuf with crispy haricot verts and excellent mash potatoes. They found a really good balance between the atmosphere of a traditional pub and a chic restaurant. All tables have elegant white cloth on them with silver cutlery and the waiters are in formal uniform.
This pub/restaurant is absolutely a new favorite of mine! 30 Bruton Place, Mayfair, London. Tube: Green Park, +448719716858

Wolseley

Right next to the Ritz on Piccadilly is this great place for High Tea or a more formal lunch. The interior of this place is beautiful and you will be welcomed by a traditional doorman with hat and gloves. It’s an old car garage. The place will give you a real English experience and has one of the best High/Afternoon Tea of London (the scones with cream and strawberry cream are simply DIVINE!). 160 Piccadilly – Tube: Green Park, +44207499 6996 – £££

Franco’s

If you just bought some Crocket & Jones shoes across the road, or visited Christie’s and feel like really good Italian food, go to Franco’s for lunch. Fabulous food and service. The decor may be a little stiff for a quick easy lunch but it’s so buzzing with people that the atmosphere is relaxed. Also perfect for work related lunch.  61 Jermyn Street
